Ships of the Russian Navy recognized “missile attack” of imaginary enemy in the Sea of Okhotsk

Group of ships of the Primorye flotilla composed of missile cruiser “Varyag”, the destroyer “Bystriy”, the large anti-submarine ship “Marshal Shaposhnikov” and “Admiral Vinogradov” with the use of active radar jammers and air defense systems reflected a massive air attack of the simulated enemy.
The “duel” clash took place in the Sea of Okhotsk, where a detachment of Kamchatka groups played the role of “the enemy””, said the press service of the Eastern Military District.

Small missile ships, “Moroz”, “Inei” and “Smerch” conducted launches of cruise missiles, which according to legend of the drills simulated low-altitude, high-speed targets. Primorye flotilla applied the missile systems “Kinzhal”, “Fort”, “Osa” and artillery systems, the headquarters of the Eastern Military District informed.
